Spreading accessible mental health resources, one bracelet at a time

Bracelets for Hope started in October 2024 when the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention asked for bracelet donations to pass out with mental health resources at The Eras Tour. With the help of Indiana University Southeast students, BFH donated fifty bracelets to the project. In January 2025, BFH launched at Indiana University Southeast, spreading campus mental health resources attached to bracelets. The project soon spread to Centerstone offices and hopes to continue to grow!
Bracelets for Hope provides an anonymous way to access mental health resources one may need. Someone may take the BFH for the bracelet or the resources, we don't question why someone takes the BFH.
Bracelets for Hope has currently distrubuted over one hundred bracelets between the Indiana University Southeast campus and Centerstone Mental Health offices. Our goal is to spread BFH into small businesses, doctor offices and schools through our bracelet baskets and bracelet making events!
Bracelets for Hope offers a unique bracelet-making experience! Founder Lucy Craft will come and talk on the importance of self care and mental health, then help your group make their very own Bracelets for Hope! Particpants may keep their bracelet or donate it to the project.
Lucy Craft is a psychology major at Indiana University Southeast. Having her own previous mental health struggles, Lucy knows the importance of knowing somebody out there cares.
"I feel like the bracelets really show that somebody cares about you without even knowing who you are. I hope everyone who sees this project knows how loved they are by me, even if we're strangers."
